As global mushroom consumption surges, an accompanying challenge emerges: for every kilogram of mushrooms harvested, approximately 5.5 kilograms of spent mushroom substrates (SMS) and stems are left behind. While these by-products teem with nutrition, they're predominantly overlooked and discarded, chiefly for their less-than-ideal aesthetics. Meanwhile, with Asia—particularly India—witnessing a notable uptick in pet ownership, there's an evident demand shift toward vegetarian pet nutrition that has meat-like aroma, taste and nutrition. This demand is shaped by factors like religious beliefs, dietary preferences, and the pursuit of products that echo the sensory attributes of meat. Pawsible Foods stands at this intersection, offering innovative solutions. We employ advanced myco-technology, repurposing the often-wasted SMS and stems into our proprietary Myco-Ingredients™. Through sophisticated fermentation techniques, we transform these by-products into meat-analogous, sustainable ingredients for pet nutrition. Thus our offerings not only present an environmentally responsible alternative but also ensure the nutritional richness and sensory experience akin to conventional meat-based pet foods.
