Dr. Karen Pooh, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council, earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London through a Ministry of Health scholarship. Dr. Pooh wears multiple hats as a clinician, lecturer, and speaker, boasting a rich background in public health, private practice, academia, and community engagement. Practising at Alliance Counselling and holding adjunct faculty positions at Yale-NUS College, University College London, and Sigmund Freud University Vienna, Dr. Pooh is also an advisor at Calm Collective Asia, aiming to break the stigma of mental health in Asia. At the heart of her work, Dr. Pooh focuses on a compassionate approach to empower individuals to tap into their strengths, boost their resilience, and grow in alignment with their core values. She passionately believes in a holistic view of mental health, asserting that individuals can not only overcome challenges but flourish and find profound meaning in their lives.
